The Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League’s Sermon is a professional American football running back. In Marietta, Georgia, a city in Georgia, he attended Sprayberry High School. In order to play collegiate football for the Oklahoma Sooners at the University of Oklahoma following high school, he traveled there.

As a true freshman, he played in every one of the 14 games and started three. On 121 carries, he finished the season having gained 744 yards and 5 touchdowns. In 2018, he was a sophomore playing alongside Kennedy Brooks and rushed for 947 yards on 164 runs while scoring 13 touchdowns. He recorded 54 carries for 385 yards and four touchdowns while playing nine games as a junior in 2019.

He participated in the 2020 Big Ten Championship Game against Northwestern University while a graduate student at Ohio State University in 2020, racking up 331 rushing yards. Both for an Ohio State player in a single game and a Football Bowl Subdivision championship game, his rushing yards set records.

In the 2021 Sugar Bowl, he gained 193 yards on the ground and scored on the ground to help his team win 49-28. Furthermore, he scored 61 yards on 4 receptions. In the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Sermon was chosen by the San Francisco 49ers. Those 49ers let him go on August 31, 2022. On September 1st, 2022, he was claimed off of waivers by the Philadelphia Eagles.
