Cody William Stashak is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the Minnesota Twins (MLB). Stashak was born on June,4,1994, and comes from Somers Point in New Jersey in the United States.
Stashak gained his high school education at New Jersey Oakcrest High School at Mays Landing. Before moving to St. John’s University, he played two seasons of college baseball at Cumberland County College. He was selected in the 13th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft by the Minnesota Twins.
Stashak pitched for the Elizabethton Twins, earning a 5-2 record in 44.2 innings with a 3.43 ERA. He pitched for the Cedar Rapids Kernels and the Fort Myers Miracle in 2016, going 10-5 with a 2.80 ERA over 121.1 innings. He pitched for the Gulf Coast Twins, Fort Myers, and Chattanooga Lookouts in 2017, going 4-4 with a 3.60 ERA over 94.1 innings.
He spent his 2018 season between Fort Myers and Chattanooga, going 2-1 with a 2.87 ERA in 59.2 innings pitched. He pitched for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos and the Rochester Red Wings in the minor leagues in 2019, going 7–3 with a 3.21 ERA in 53 innings.
The Twins picked Stashak’s contract and promoted him to the major leagues on July 22, 2019. He debuted on July 23 against the New York Yankees, pitching two shutout innings of relief. In 2019, Stashak was 0–1 with a 3.24 ERA in 24 innings with the Twins.
