Mack Wilson plays linebacker for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. Wilson received his high school education from George Washington Carver High School in Montgomery, Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama to play collegiate football as a five-star prospect.
As a true freshman in 2016 at Alabama, Wilson played in all 15 games and made eight tackles. He participated in 12 games as a sophomore in 2017 and made two starts. He recorded 40 tackles, four interceptions, and one score.
In 2018, Wilson was a junior and recorded 71 tackles, one sack, and two interceptions. Wilson made the decision to forego his senior year and join the 2019 NFL Draft after the season.
The Cleveland Browns selected Wilson in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft (155th overall). Wilson had a club-high five tackles in the ninth week’s game against the Denver Broncos, which the team lost 24-19.
He also made his first career sack on Brandon Allen. Wilson’s first career interception came in week 15 against the Arizona Cardinals, a 38-24 loss, on a pass from fellow rookie Kyler Murray.
Wilson was traded to the New England Patriots on March 16, 2022, for Chase Winovich.
