Nolan Laufenberg, a football guard, competes for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League. He weighs 143 kg and stands 1.9 m tall. At Castle View High School, where he played football, he was three times selected as an offensive all-conference performance. Additionally, he belonged to the National Honor Society and the German Honor Society.
He enrolled at the United States Air Force Academy in 2016 after completing his senior year of high school in order to play for the Falcon football team there. He didn’t play in any varsity games as a true freshman in 2017. He played in 13 games as a sophomore, starting nine of them, and the next year was named to the first teams of both the Mountain West Conference and the National Football League.
He participated in all 13 of the games in 2019, starting 12, and he had the most knockdowns per game. Due to COVID-19, the 2020 season was cut short, limiting his participation to six contests. The Denver Broncos signed Laufenberg as an undrafted free agent after he was not taken in the 2021 NFL Draft. He had to obtain permission from the US Secretary of Defense to postpone his military service by five years in order to play for Denver.
On August 24, 2021, he was discharged. He joined the practice squad of the Washington Commanders football team in September 2021. After the regular season of 2021, he signed a reserve/future contract. He was released by the Commanders in August 2022 and immediately added to the practice squad the following day.
