Steven Kwan is a professional baseball player of Chinese and Japanese descent. He plays as an outfielder for the Cleveland Guardians baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB).
Steven Kwan played baseball for his high school at Washington High School in Fremont, California. Upon completion, he enrolled at Oregon State University to play college baseball for the baseball team. He also played collegiate summer baseball with the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League before he graduated from college.
Entering his senior year, the Cleveland Indians drafted him in the 5th round of the 2018 MLB draft. He signed with the Indians and was assigned to play with the Arizona League Indians to begin his professional career. That same season, he was promoted to the Mahoning Valley Scrappers.
During the 2019 minor league season, he was with the Lynchburg Hill cats. The 2020 minor league season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic thus he did not play a game in 2020. The Indians called him up to the major leagues in April 2022 and he made his MLB debut as the starting right fielder on April 7 2022.
