Sean Anthony Manage is a well-known Major League Baseball pitcher for the San Diego Padres in the United States. Sean Manaea was reported to have been born in Valparaiso, Indiana, in the United States, on February 1, 1992. At the time, it was known that he had previously played for the Oakland Athletics and played collegiate baseball for Indiana State University.

During his Amateur career days, he established a record of 115 strikeouts in several 105 innings which he pitched for the Sycamores as a sophomore at the time. He commenced his professional career with the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball in the 34th pick of the draft at the time. He then joined the Oakland Athletics in July 2015 which was in exchange for one Ben Zobrist. Then in April 2022, he joined the San Diego Padres where he currently is.

In a trade with the Oakland Athletics on Sunday, the San Diego Padres added left-hander Sean Manaea to their rotation. In exchange for pitching prospect Adrian Martinez and minor league infielder Euribiel Angeles, San Diego acquired Manaea, 30, and minor league right-hander Aaron Holiday from Oakland.
