Chris Paul was drafted by the Commanders in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Paul is of Nigerian descent. He started his football career at an early age. At age 13, he already knew the basics of the game.
He attended Jersey Village High School and played as a utility player (on both the offensive and defensive lines). He excelled in the game and has continued to maintain that standard to date.
Paul served as a pillar on an offensive line that contributed to his team’s 446-yard-per-game average. During his senior year, he was selected to both the first team of the all-district and the academic all-district teams. Additionally, he served as team captain during his senior year.
Paul attended the University of Tulsa and played for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane from 2017 to 2021. As a true freshman, Paul was one of the few players who were required to sit out the season due to his redshirt status.
Paul appeared in every game in 2018 and started eight of them at right guard, including the final seven games.
In May of 2021, Paul received his bachelor’s degree in computer information systems and graduated with honors.
