The body of a lady who went missing with her infant son was discovered Tuesday evening. Alexis Morales, 27, and her son, Messiah Morales were discovered dead along South Kaley Street in South Bend.
Alexis Morales was described as having black hair and brown eyes, standing around 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighing 160 pounds. Messiah Morales is 24 inches tall, weighs 30 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.
WBND says that earlier in the day, a vehicle matching the model and license plate number of Alexis Morales’ was discovered near the intersection of South Kaley and West Huron streets on the west side of South Bend.
Alexis and her son were last seen in South Bend at 6 p.m. a week ago. On Monday, a statewide Silver Alert was issued in the case of their disappearances.
According to the notice, the couple was last seen in a silver 2006 BMW X5 SUV with the Indiana license plate MULALUV.

Messiah Morales was brought to a local hospital, according to ABC station WBND-LD.
Messiah Morales was taken to the hospital to be treated for hypothermic injuries. According to WBND, he is likely to recover from the injuries.
