Who is better falcons or Steelers?
Since their last four appearances as home underdogs, the Atlanta Falcons have won all of their games against the spread (ATS), going a perfect 4-0.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have a record of only 3-10 against the spread in their last 13 games played as road favorites. When they take the field against the 5-8 Falcons on Sunday at the Georgia Dome, the 8-5 Steelers will be considered short road chalk by the betting public.
The Pittsburgh Steelers scored a season-high 42 points and won the AFC North divisional road game against the Cincinnati Bengals last week by erupting for 25 points in the fourth quarter of that game.
After three quarters, the Steelers were behind the Bengals by a score of 21-17. However, they won the game by scoring three touchdowns in a matter of six minutes, including a touchdown pass from Ben Roethlisberger to Martavis Bryant that went for 94 yards.
The Steelers had a 193-86 advantage in rushing yards over the Bengals. Le’Veon Bell ran for 185 yards, and Big Ben completed all three of his touchdown passes without throwing an interception. In point of fact, Bell has now come within 75 yards of reaching 2,000 yards for the season from scrimmage.
With a record of 8-5, Pittsburgh is in first place in the battle for the AFC Wild Card and is only behind Cincinnati in the competition for first place in the AFC North by a half-game.
