Brock Burke is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2019.
When the Texas Rangers traded for Burke from the Rays on December 21, 2018, they also received Kyle Bird, Yoel Espinal, and Eli White as well as $750,000 in international signing bonus pool space.
The Rays also received Emilio Pagan, Rollie Lacy, and a competitive balance pick in the 2019 MLB draft (Seth Johnson), while the Oakland Athletics received Jurickson Profar.
For the 2019 season, Burke was sent to the Double-A Texas League Frisco RoughRiders.
Due to shoulder discomfort and blister concerns, Burke was placed on the disabled list on April 23. For the AZL Rangers and Hickory Crawdads, he appeared in just one game apiece.
He compiled a 3–5 record with a 3.18 ERA in 45 innings with Frisco. The Nashville Sounds of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League selected Burke for promotion on August 6. For Nashville, he made two starts, allowing 7 runs in 8 innings.
Burke was called up to the big leagues by the Texas Rangers on August 20, 2019. Against the Los Angeles Angels, he made his major-league debut with four strikeouts in six innings of shutout work.
