Bryan Enrique Abreu, a pitcher for baseball, was born on April 22, 1997, in the Dominican Republic. His current Major League Baseball team is the Houston Astros. Abreu signed a contract with the Astros in 2013 as an international free agent. In July 2019, he made his professional debut.
After becoming an unrestricted international free agent, Abreu agreed to a contract with the Houston Astros in November 2013. He made his professional debut in 2014 with the Astros of the Dominican Summer League, pitching 22 innings from the bullpen and finishing 0-2 with a 6.55 ERA.

He has a 6-1 record and a 1.49 ERA in 14 games while pitching for the Quad Cities River Bandits and the Tri-City ValleyCats in 2018. He returned to Greeneville in 2017 and played eight games, with a 1-3 record and a 7.98 ERA.
Following the 2018 campaign, the Astros included Abreu on their 40-man roster.
He started the 2019 season with the Fayetteville Woodpeckers before being promoted to the Corpus Christi Hooks, the group for whom he was selected as a Texas League All-Star.
Abreu was promoted to the major leagues by the Astros on July 31, 2019. That evening, he made his major league debut by pitching a bullpen inning and holding them scoreless.
He was returned to Double-A Corpus Christi the following day through option. Before being removed from the club in 2020 because of poor accuracy, Abreu walked seven hitters and struck out two in 3.1 innings of work.
