Budda Baker is an American football safety for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Washington, and was selected by the Cardinals in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
In the Arizona Cardinals’ first game of the regular season, which was played away against the Detroit Lions, he made his first tackle as a professional and the team ended up losing 35–23.
After Tyvon Branch suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament the previous week, Baker was given the opportunity to make his first career start on November 19, 2017.
During his first career start, which occurred in Week 11 against the Houston Texans, he earned a season-high 13 combined tackles (11 solo), deflected two passes, and made his first career sack. The Texans won the game, 31–21.
