American baseball catcher Chad Arthur Wallach, who plays for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball, was born on November 4, 1991.
Wallach was raised in Orange, California, and went to Calvary Chapel High School there. He was chosen in the 43rd round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft, but he decided against signing with a team so that he may play collegiate baseball at Cal State Fullerton.
The Marlins selected him in the fifth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft, and he made his MLB debut in 2017. He formerly played in MLB with the Miami Marlins and Cincinnati Reds, respectively.
Wallach began his professional career with the Short-Season Class-A Batavia Muckdogs, where he hit.226/.294/.267 in 43 games and 146 at-bats. Wallach signed with the Marlins and received a $343,900 bonus.
He started the 2014 campaign with the Class A Greensboro Grasshoppers and was later moved to the Class A-Advanced Jupiter Hammerheads.
The Marlins traded Wallach to the Cincinnati Reds on December 11, 2014, in exchange for Mat Latos. On August 25, 2017, the Reds first promoted Wallach to the major leagues.
On August 21, 2021, Wallach was traded to the Los Angeles Angels after his initial team with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was later assigned to the Triple-A Salt Lake Bees where he played in 39 games.
