Chase Young is an American football defensive end for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on April 14, 1999.
A native of Maryland, he played college football at Ohio State University for the Buckeyes. During his junior season in 2019, Young broke the school’s single-season sack record with 16.5 and was named a unanimous All-American and the recipient of several defensive player of the year awards.
He was also named the Big Ten Male Athlete of the Year and was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, a rare accomplishment for a defensive player.
On April 14, 1999, Young was born in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Before enrolling in St. Vincent Pallotti High School in Laurel, Maryland, in 2013, he attended St. Columba School in Oxon Hill, Maryland, where he started playing American football as a youngster.
He started out there as a quarterback, tight end, and outside linebacker as a freshman before concentrating on the defensive end later that year. Young and the squad won the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association C-conference title the next year as a sophomore. He played the violin, saxophone, and piano in the school choir as well.
Young made the decision to bypass his senior year at Ohio State in favor of entering the 2020 NFL Draft, where many in the media regarded him as the top overall prospect.
He said that he did not want to waste time being a “combine athlete” and visited the NFL Combine but did not take part in any exercises or drills.
Young was one of 58 athletes selected during the draft, which took place virtually as a result of social segregation rules brought up by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Washington Redskins picked him in the second round overall. On July 23, 2020, he agreed to a four-year rookie deal worth $34.56 million.
Prior to tearing my right ACL in Week 10’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Young’s second season in 2021 saw him accumulate 21 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.
The procedure involved grafting a portion of the patellar tendon from his other knee to rebuild his ACL. Many sportswriters thought the season was disappointing because they expected him to have advanced in his growth.
When the training camp opened in 2022, Young was added to the list of people who are physically unable to perform. On November 2, 2022, he was assigned to the active roster once more.
Who Is Chase Young’s Girlfriend?
Her name is Sophie Piteo. We don’t have much details about her partly because she probably loves to maintain a low profile.
