Born on January 12, 1997, Darius Slayton is an American football wide receiver for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL).
He played college football at Auburn and was drafted by the Giants in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
He attended Auburn University, where he participated in collegiate football for the Auburn Tigers. He appeared in 13 games with 11 starts in 2016 after redshirting as a true freshman in 2015.
He hauled in 29 passes for 643 yards and 5 touchdowns in 2017 as a whole. He had 35 catches for 670 yards in 2018 as a season total.
The New York Giants selected Slayton with the 171st overall pick in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He recorded three receptions for 82 yards in his NFL debut game, and in his third game, he scored a 35-yard touchdown.
Slayton had six receptions for 102 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns in the Giants’ 2020 regular season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He had eight receptions for 129 yards in Week 5’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. He had three receptions for 54 yards and a score in the Giants’ Week 2 game against the Washington Football Team, but in the fourth quarter, he lost a pass in the end zone.
