Daxton was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the USA on September 29, 2000, to parents Derrick and Tia Hill. He was a student at Booker T. Washington High School where he played football throughout his time there. He was named the Gatorade Football Player of the Year for Oklahoma during his senior year and he played in the 2019 U.S. Army All-American Game.
After high school, he first played college football at the University of Michigan in 2019 and later moved to the University of Alabama in 2020 where he played in six games.
In 2021, he went back to play for the Michigan football team as a starter and was named 1st team All-Big Ten honours that year. In January 2022, Daxton was declared for the 2022 NFL draft and he was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals.
