Frank Dominick Clark was born on June 14, 1993, and is an American football defensive end who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League. He was a member of the Michigan Wolverines football team throughout his college career.
During the 2013 season, he was named to the Big Ten second team by coaches and an honorable mention by the media. First-round draft pick Clark was signed by the Seattle Seahawks with an undisclosed fee in 2015.
Clark’s sophomore season saw him go from a limited backup position to 10 sacks. With 22 sacks and five forced fumbles between his first and second seasons, his play was consistently excellent. During the 2018 season, the Seahawks placed a franchise tag on Clark, who was later traded to the Chiefs, who signed him to a five-year, $105 million contract extension.
Clark played a variety of positions in high school for Glenville High School head coach Ted Ginn Sr., but he was least interested in playing the position Ginn felt he was most naturally suited to play. He was most interested in playing the position of safety. When it came to his senior season, he racked up 70 tackles and 19 sacks on defense and 12 receptions, three of which were for touchdowns.
