Jerome Baker is an American football linebacker for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Ohio State.
Baker received his secondary education in Cleveland, Ohio at Benedictine High School. During his time at Benedictine, he was a member of the football team that won the state championship in 2014, and he was ranked as the second-best prospect in the state of Ohio for the class of 2015.
After making a verbal commitment to play collegiate football at the University of Florida, he ultimately decided to reverse his commitment and play for the Ohio State Buckeyes instead.
Between 2015 and 2017, Baker was a student-athlete at Ohio State. After completing his junior campaign in 2017, he made the decision to bypass his senior year in order to pursue the NFL Draft the following year.
Throughout his career, he recorded 159 tackles, seven sacks, and two interceptions for a total of 201 tackles.
