Who Is Jon Embree’s Father John Embree?
John William Embree Sr was born on July 13, 1944, and is a former American football wide receiver who played at the wide receiver position.
Embree was born in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1944, and grew up there. He attended Compton Community Collegiate in California, where he played college football.
He was a professional football player with the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). During his time with the Broncos, he appeared in 20 games, six of them as a starter, accumulating 33 receptions for 519 yards and five touchdowns.
Jon Embree’s son Jon Embree Jr is also an American football coach and former player who serves as the Miami Dolphins’ Assistant Head Coach. He is currently the tight ends coach for the Dolphins. He was previously the head coach at the University of Colorado and was also a member of the NFL’s Buffalo Bills.
Taylor Embree, his grandson, is an American football coach and former wide receiver who is presently the running backs coach for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He played wide receiver with the New York Giants before becoming a coach (NFL).
He played collegiate football for UCLA and was a member of the San Diego Chargers for a brief period of time.
