Kyle Dugger, a safety with the National Football League’s New England Patriots, was born on March 22, 1996. Lenoir-Rhyne was his college football team.
At Whitewater High School, Dugger primarily played basketball; he didn’t make his football debut until his senior year. One of the three institutions that offered Dugger was Lenoir-Rhyne, an NCAA Division II program in North Carolina; Berry College, an NCAA Division III participant; and Reinhardt University, an NAIA participant.
Dugger started as the Bears’ starting cornerback right away after redshirting his freshman season. He redshirted his rookie season and played cornerback during that time, but before his sophomore season, he shifted to safety after suffering a meniscus injury.
During his junior season, he had three interceptions and three fumble recoveries. Additionally, Dugger competed in the 2020 Senior Bowl, where scouts commended his instincts on the field.
Due to his quickness on the field, scouts projected Dugger to play safety, cornerback, or returner in the NFL. In the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots selected Dugger with the 37th overall choice.
He was the first pick in that selection to have experience playing outside of Division I FBS. During the Cowboys’ 29-35 overtime loss in Week 6, Dugger picked off Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott for the first time in his career.
The following week, Dugger picked off Jets quarterback Mike White in the 54-13 victory, giving him his second consecutive game with a pick.
Regarding relationships, Kathryn Semone is the beautiful and supportive girlfriend of Kyle Dugger in the NFL. Kathryn Semone Friday, Kyle Duggar’s gorgeous girl, was born in Lincolnton, North Carolina, at the age of 23.
Prior to enrolling at Lenoir-Rhyne University, she attended Lincolnton High School. She and Kyle still live together after meeting in college.
