Marnie Schulenburg was an American actress who was born on May 21, 1984, and passed away on May 17, 2022.
She was best known for her role as Alison Stewart on the CBS serial opera As the World Turns, which she played from 2007 to 2010.
Marnie Schulenburg began her life in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Cape Cod. She is the sister of two brothers: Gus, who writes plays, and Allan, who teaches music.
She received her diploma from Barnstable High School in 2002 where she was active in the school’s musical productions and performed in the vocal jazz group.
She attended the Cape Cod Conservatory for her training in both dance and vocals. She received her bachelor’s degree in drama from DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, in May of 2006, and she graduated with honours.
She participated in acting, musical theatre, the classics, and William Shakespeare while she was a student at DeSales.
She made the trip to New York City in September 2006 and immediately began trying out for acting gigs there.
She became a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, where she engaged in play readings, and she has also been a part of The Flux Theatre Ensemble.
How Did Marnie Schulenburg Die?
In May 2020, Schulenburg said she had been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, which her physicians had initially misdiagnosed as mastitis.
The disease had spread throughout her body. She succumbed to the illness on May 17, 2022, in a hospital in Bloomfield, New Jersey, four days before her 38th birthday, and the cause of death was given as the sickness.
