British politician Rishi Sunak formerly held the position of Chief Secretary to the Treasury from 2019 to 2020 before taking office as Chancellor of the Exchequer from 2020 to 2022. Sunak was born on May 12, 1980, and is currently 41 years old
He is a Conservative Party member and has served as Richmond (YorksMP )’s since 2015.
Born in Southampton to Indian immigrants from East Africa, Sunak attended Winchester College for his education.
He then studied philosophy, politics, and economics at Lincoln College, Oxford, before earning an MBA on a Fulbright scholarship from Stanford University.
While attending Stanford, he met Akshata Murty, the daughter of N.R. Narayana Murthy, the wealthy Indian businessman who founded Infosys University, where she later became his wife.
Rishi Sunak, 41, married Akshata Murthy, 42, in 2009 in a two-day wedding in Bangalore. The couple has two daughters, Krishna and Anoushka. The family home is in North Yorkshire. Not much is known about his daughters as he keeps them out of the public eye.
Sunak was born to Yashvir and Usha Sunak, who are of Indian descent. He is the oldest of three siblings and comes from a household of three.
