Robert Hunt, an offensive tackle with the National Football League’s Miami Dolphins, was born on August 25, 1996. (NFL). He represented the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns in collegiate football.
Hunt was born in Wiergate, Texas, and at an early age moved to Fort Worth, Texas, with his family. After Hurricane Rita, his family briefly relocated back to the Wiergate area before fleeing to Fort Worth, and after his family’s home burned down, they once again relocated to Fort Worth.
After his first year, Hunt returned to Newton County to live with his aunt and started attending Burkeville High School. He was a football and basketball player for the Mustangs. Despite receiving a scholarship offer from Houston, Hunt chose Louisiana to play collegiate football.
Hunt didn’t play during his actual rookie year. After spring practice, he was named the Ragin’ Cajuns starting left guard. As a redshirt freshman, he started all 13 of the team’s games.

Due to a groin injury, Hunt redshirted as a senior and only participated in seven games. Despite this, he was awarded first-team All-Sun Belt. He received a Senior Bowl invitation for 2020, but he was injured and was unable to take part.
The Miami Dolphins picked Hunt with the 39th overall choice in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. On September 13, 2020, Hunt made his NFL debut against the New England Patriots in the season opener. On October 11, 2020, Hunt lined up at right tackle for his first career start in a 43-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
