As an American football quarterback who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League, Shane Buechele was born on January 8, 1998, in Kansas City, Missouri (NFL). He attended Texas A&M University before transferring to SMU to play football.
Buechele excelled in football and baseball while attending Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas, and went on to play in the National Football League. His quarterbacking career saw him pass for 6,379 yards and 73 touchdowns while also rushing for 1,805 yards and 21 more scores.
As one of the top quarterback recruits in his class, Buechele was asked to compete in the Elite 11 quarterback challenge, where he impressed the coaches with his accuracy and finished second overall. Contrary to his Oklahoma Sooner-supporting upbringing, Buechele chose to play collegiate football with the rival Texas Longhorns rather than his alma mater, the Oklahoma Sooners.
Buechele, who went undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft, signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2021, following his release from the Chiefs. On August 31, 2021, he was released from his contract. Next to that, he was added to the team’s practice squad the following day. On November 16, 2021, he was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster.
