Yury Travon Walker was born on December 18, 2000, and is an American football defensive end for the National Football League’s Jacksonville Jaguars.
He was picked first overall by the Jaguars in the 2022 NFL Draft after playing collegiate football for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Walker appeared in 12 games as a freshman at Georgia, recording 15 tackles and 2.5 sacks. He appeared in nine games as a sophomore in 2020, with 13 tackles, one sack, and one interception.
Walker began his career as a defensive lineman as a junior and was a member of the squad that won the College Football Playoff National Championship in 2022. Following the season, he declared for the 2022 NFL Draft.
Walker went to Thomaston’s Upson-Lee High School. He was chosen to play in the 2019 All-American Bowl. He committed to play collegiate football at the University of Georgia.
