The Kansas City Royals is known to be an American professional baseball team that plays or compete in the Major League Baseball as a member club of the American League Central division. The Kansas City Royals are known to base at Kansas City.
The team in question was known to have been founded in the year 1969 as an expansion franchise in the year 1969 and was known to have played in four World Series where he was known to have won in the year 1985 and 2015 as well as losing in 1980 and 2014.
The “Royals” name in itself paye homage to the American Royal, a livestock show, horse show, rodeo and championship barbecue competition held every year in Kansas since 1899. The team was again known to have established a connection with the Monarchs but could not use the name of the Monarchs to cite a suitable name at the time.
Moving on the team however, held a name contest in the year 1968 that was known to receive more than 17000 entries. The winner of the entry at the time was one Sanford Porte who happened to be a bridge engineer.
When their game time commenced after their inception it was recounted that their primitive days were very poor. For about 28 consecutive seasons, from the year 1986 to the year 2013, the Royals did not known to be qualify to play in the Major League Baseball postseason which was recorded to be one of the longest season droughts at the time. However in the year 2014, they broke the drought streak by securing a first wildcard birth which gave them a clean pass to the 2014 World Series.
