A flight from Kunming (KMG) to Guangzhou (GZH) operated by China Eastern has crashed (CAN). MU 5735, a domestic flight operated by a Boeing 737 with the tail number B-1791.

It was carrying 132 passengers when it crashed into a hilly area of China.

The plane did, in fact, crash, according to the Chinese Civil Aviation Administration.

The airplane has crashed, according to China’s Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC). According to the CAAC, 132 persons were on board the plane. There were 123 passengers and nine crew members on board.

According to a video circulating on Twitter, a significant area of hilly woodland has been consumed in flames.

The aircraft believed to be involved was a 6.8-year-old Boeing 737-800, according to statistics from ch-aviation.com. China Eastern Airlines operates the aircraft, which is owned by CES Leasing.

On March 22nd, 2012, China Eastern placed an order for the plane. It took to the air for the first time on June 5th, 2015, and was delivered just over a month later, on June 22nd. Since its delivery, the plane has been registered in China.

First responders will rush to an accident scene as soon as possible to see whether there are any survivors and provide them with the best available care. After any survivors have been removed and any immediate threats, like as fire, have been managed, the accident investigation will commence.

Accident investigators from China are almost certainly already on the spot. Other countries having a stake in the crash are frequently invited to join the investigation.
