Will Grier is an American football quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Florida and West Virginia, and was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round in the 2019 NFL Draft.
On October 3, 2014, he had the best game of his young career when they played against the Ole Miss Rebels. He completed 24 of 29 passes for 271 yards and four passing touchdowns.
He was the first Gator quarterback since Chris Leak in 2005 to accomplish the feat, and he did it by throwing all four touchdown passes in the opening half of the game. The Gators were victorious in the game with a final score of 38–10.
After it came to light that Grier had a positive test result for a performance-enhancing drug, he was handed a suspension that would last for one full year, beginning on October 12, 2015.
He claimed that the positive test was caused by the over-the-counter supplement Ligandrol and that he was unaware that it was banned. However, he admitted that he did not follow the protocol to clear the supplement with the team trainers.
