Zach Johnson is an American professional golfer who has 12 victories on the PGA Tour, including two major championships, the 2007 Masters and the 2015 Open Championship.
Johnson, the eldest of Dave and Julie Johnson’s three children, was born in Iowa City, Iowa, and reared in Cedar Rapids. His father practiced chiropractic, and Johnson is the son of a chiropractor.
Johnson started playing golf when he was 10 years old and honed his abilities at Elmcrest Country Club. As a child, Johnson was active in various sports, including baseball, basketball, football, and soccer.
In 1992, the year he was a sophomore at Regis High School, the golf team he captained won the Iowa 3A state championship. He was the number-two player on the squad.
After Johnson completed his high school education and received his diploma in 1994, he enrolled at Drake University in Des Moines.
While competing for Drake University’s golf team, he held the position of number two player and led the Bulldogs to three NCAA regional meets and two Missouri Valley titles. Tom Harris, Johnson’s uncle, earned a spot in the 1975 NAIA national tournament by virtue of his play.

American professional golfer Zach Johnson has three children and they are Wyatt Johnson, Abby Jane Johnson, and Will Johnson. Will was born about three months after Johnson won his first master in 2007, and the year was already well under way.
They most recently lived in Lake Mary, Florida, but have now moved to St. Simons Island in Georgia.
