Breyvic Valera, Dean Kremer, Yusniel Diaz, and Rylan Bannon were traded to the Baltimore Orioles along with Pop on July 18, 2018, in exchange for Manny Machado.
Bowie Baysox was the team he was assigned to for the rest of the season. A 2–3 record and a 1.53 ERA were the results of his 44 bullpen appearances for Great Lakes, Rancho Cucamonga, and Bowie.
To start 2019, he returned to Bowie, where he went 1–0 with a 0.84 ERA in 10.2 innings of relief appearances. For the remainder of the season, he underwent Tommy John surgery.

Pop was traded to the Miami Marlins in exchange for Tyler Jones shortly thereafter. In time for the Marlins’ first game of the season, Pop made the team’s roster.
