Michael Anthony Taylor (born March 26, 1991) is an American professional baseball center fielder for the Major League Baseball team the Kansas City Royals.
Taylor was picked by the Washington Nationals in the sixth round (172nd overall) in the 2009 Major League Baseball draft, and he made his Major League Baseball debut in 2014.
Originally from Westminster Academy, Taylor was selected by the Washington Nationals in the sixth round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft as a shortstop out of the organization.
He turned down a scholarship offer from the University of North Florida in order to play with the Nationals in the National Hockey League.
In 2009, Taylor did not appear in a minor league game, but the Gulf Coast League Nationals used him as an infielder and he was a crucial member of their team in 2010. He made 21 mistakes while playing shortstop, second base, and third base.
He appeared in 38 games and batted in two of them.

Taylor signed a one-year contract with the Kansas City Royals for $1.75 million on November 30, 2020, which would expire on December 31, 2020.
