We’re getting to know more and more about those who perished in the South Street shooting in Philadelphia. Patients flocked to Jefferson Hospital following the shootings on South Street.
South Street was the scene of at least 14 shootings, according to law enforcement officials. Each of them is between the ages of seventeen and seventy-nine. Five of them are under the age of twenty-one.
Kris Minners, a 22-year-old second grade teacher at Girard College, was named by the American Federation of Teachers.
The shooting on South Street in Philadelphia on Saturday night claimed the life of Kristopher Minners, a current Residential Advisor and previous student at Girard College.
Kris, an innocent spectator, had just celebrated his 22nd birthday with his family and friends and was oblivious. Since January 2022, he has worked as a counselor in the residential program for 6th and 2nd grade boys at Girard College.
Kristopher and his family have our deepest sympathies, as do all others who have been touched by this senseless act of violence.
Interim President James D. Turner said Kristopher was overjoyed to be returning to Girard and serving as an inspiration to the young men under his care.
Our RA of the month award went to him since he was doing an excellent job. As a member of our community, Kris’s loss will be felt profoundly.
Other victims were identified as 27-year-old Alexis Quinn and 34-year-old Gregory Jackson by police.
