Andy Goram was a goalkeeper in Scotland. He was born on April 13, 1964, in the United Kingdom and unfortunately passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Goram participated in 43 international games for Scotland and was chosen for their teams at the UEFA Euro 1992 and UEFA Euro 1996 tournaments, as well as the World Cups in 1986 and 1990.
He later became a goalkeeping instructor at many Scottish clubs after retiring from playing. When he went back to Motherwell in 2002, he started working as a part-time coach. In the future, he served as a coach for Airdrie United in March 2006 and Clyde in February 2008.
September 2008 saw Goram leave Clyde. Goram assisted Hamilton Academical with their goalkeeping coach dilemma in January 2012. As he did at Clyde and Hamilton, Goram rejoined his godson David Hutton in the coaching team at Ayr United in January 2014 to take on the position of goalkeeping coach.
He joined BSC Glasgow of the Lowland League as goalkeeping coach in October 2014. As the goalkeeping coach at Dunfermline Athletic from January 2015 to May 2015, he made a comeback to the world of professional football.
Later, from May 2016 to October 2016, he served as the goalkeeping coach at Airdrieonians. He left the club after several managerial and coaching changes. His previous team was Cambuslang Rangers in the West of Scotland Football League.
