Andy Hill is an American coach and former player who currently works as the assistant special team’s coach for the Kansas City Chiefs.
In his first NFL season, Hill assisted with a special teams unit that finished fourth in the NFL in kick return average (25.8).
He also mentored rookie P Tommy Townsend who was graded at the eighth-best punter in the NFL by Pro Football Focus, finishing the year with 20 punts inside the 20.
Before joining the NFL, Andy was known to have spent 24 seasons (1996-2019) at the University of Missouri, making him the second longest-tenured assistant coach in MU football history.
Hill was also said to have become the first-ever special team’s coordinator for the Mizzou’s.
Hill is a Mizzou grad who walked on the Tiger football team in 1980 and eventually earned a scholarship. He lettered in 1980, ’81, ’83 and ’84 and played on Missouri teams that earned trips to the Liberty, Tangerine and Holiday Bowls.
Andy is said to have a BA from the University of Missouri and is also the husband of Sarah with whom they have two beautiful children known as Patricia Ryan and Andrew.
