Mekapati Goutham Reddy was a politician and businessman from Andhra Pradesh, India. He served in the Andhra Pradesh government as the Minister of Industries, Commerce, and Information Technology. From 2014 until his death in 2022, he was twice elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, representing the Atmakur Assembly constituency on behalf of the YSR Congress Party.

As a minister, he worked to develop new policies in the industrial and information technology sectors. He saw information technology (IT) as the driving force behind Andhra Pradesh’s transformation into a trillion-dollar economy. In order to promote investments to the state, he headed a delegation team to Dubai Expo 2020 in February 2022.

Mekapati Goutham Reddy was born to Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy and Mani Manjari on November 2, 1971. He was from Brahmanapalli village in Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore district.

Prithvi Kumar Reddy and Vikram Reddy were his two brothers. Rajamohan Reddy, his father, was a former Member of Parliament from the Nellore Lok Sabha seat. Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, his paternal uncle, is a politician and the current MLA for the Udayagiri Assembly constituency.
