Anthony Kay is one of the professional baseball players who pitches for the Toronto Blue Jays team of the Major League Baseball. Anthony’s non-professional career started at Ward Melville High School in East Setauket, New York where he attended high school.
In 2013 during the MLB draft, the New York Mets drafted him in the 29th round but he did not sign with them and instead went further into college where he played college baseball for the University of Connecticut.
In the 2016 MLB draft, Anthony was drafted again by the New York Mets in the first round of the MLB draft (31st overall). Anthony did not play in a game that season as he got injured. He returned to play for the Columbia Fireflies and the St. Lucie Mets in 2018. In 2019, he started the season with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies after which he was promoted to the Syracuse Mets.
Anthony was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays team in July 2019 and in September that year he was promoted to the major leagues by the Jays. He made his MLB debut on September 7, 2019, for the Jays when they played against the Tampa Bay Rays team.
