Astros vs Yankees

Thursday at 6:10 p.m. ET, the New York Yankees and Houston Astros will play each other. The game is at Houston, Texas’s Minute Maid Park, and you can only watch it on local TV or with an MLB.tv subscription. The Yankees’ pitcher will be Luis Severino, and the Astros’ pitcher will be Luis Garcia.

Even though they split their series with the Stros last week in the Bronx, the Yankees (56-20) are likely to feel good about Thursday’s game.

They are 13 games ahead of the Red Sox in the AL East and are currently on a four-game winning streak that started with the last game of the series against Houston. Aaron Judge is still the star of the show.

He has a batting average of.290 and has hit the most home runs in the MLB with 29. Both his 1.001 OPS and his 59 RBI put him in fourth place in the league. Luis Servino (4-2) has done well enough on the mound this season, with a 3.38 ERA and 10.9 K/9 in 13 starts.

Houston (47-27) will try to get back on track after losing badly to the Yankees in the last game of the series last week. On Wednesday, five Astros pitchers worked together to throw a no-hitter and win 8-0. In the 10th inning, Judge hit a three-run home run for a walk-off win to end the series on a high note.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of injuries on the Houston team, which could make it hard for them to beat a hot Yankees lineup. Michael Brantley is on the 10-day injured list, while Yordan Alvarez and Jeremy Pea are each day-to-day following a scary collision in the outfield Wednesday against the Angels.

Astros vs Yankees: Predictions

Even though the Astros are playing at home, it still seems unusual that the Yankees don’t have lower odds to win. We’ll choose the Yankees to win on the road because of the injuries the Astros are dealing with plus their current hot streak. With a 22-11 road record and a winning percentage of.737, the Yankees are in first place in the MLB. They will now face Garcia, who has the second-highest ERA (3.68) among Astros pitchers with at least 50 innings pitched this year.
