Norway’s Casper Ruud plays tennis professionally. He has a career-high singles ranking of world No. 5, attained on 13 June 2022, making him the highest-ranked Norwegian tennis player in history. He has won nine ATP Tour singles titles, eight of which were on clay courts. He lost against Corentin Denolly in the third round of the boys’ singles competition at the 2015 French Open.
His best singles results in the corresponding Junior Grand Slam events came in the 2015 US Open boys’ singles third round and 2015 Wimbledon boys’ singles second round. He planned to compete in Futures competitions and start moving up the ATP rankings during the 2016 season.

In order to go to his second major semifinal, he then defeated lucky loser Corentin Moutet and 13th seed Matteo Berrettini, the latter in straight sets. In his semifinal game, he’ll compete against Karen Khachanov, the 27th seed.
