Chad Henne was born on July 2, 1985, in Kansas City, Missouri, and he is an American football quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL).
He received his education at the University of Michigan. Over the course of his career at Michigan, Henne became only the second true freshman starter in the school’s history, accumulated 32 victories in regular season play, 8,740 offensive yards, and 87 touchdowns, and in his senior season led the Wolverines to a victory over Florida in the Capital One Bowl. After throwing for more than 350 yards, he was subsequently voted the game’s most valuable player.
Henne’s professional career began when the Miami Dolphins selected him in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at Ohio State.
As the backup quarterback to veteran quarterback Chad Pennington for the majority of his rookie season, Henne was a non-factor. Henne started most of the 2009 season for the Dolphins after Pennington was unable to play due to an injury. It was his second season with the organization.
