Christian Rafael Vázquez (born August 21, 1990) is a Puerto Rican professional baseball catcher who currently plays for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball.
Vázquez made his MLB debut on July 9 against the Chicago White Sox, starting at catcher and going hitless in three at-bats while tagging out a runner at the plate when Alejandro De Aza attempted to score from first base on Tyler Flowers’ double.
On July 11, Vázquez got his first professional hit off of Scott Feldman of the Houston Astros; Vázquez had three hits, three RBIs, and two runs in the game.
