The Cleveland Browns are a Cleveland-based professional American football club. They compete in the National Football League as a member team of the American Football Conference North division, which they were named after initial coach and co-founder Paul Brown.

The Browns have had numerous outstanding players over their historic history, which dates all the way back to 1946 when the franchise was founded.

Here is a list of the top 5 Greatest Cleveland Browns All-Time Rosters In History

1. Jim Brown

Brown is one of the all-time greats in the NFL. All-Pro recognition was earned each year as the Syracuse native started all games in his nine seasons with the team. Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player accolades were among his many honors, as he was the league’s top rusher in every season save 1962, and he won the latter two more times.

A Cleveland record of 12,312 running yards was held for 19 years, and his 126 career touchdowns (including rushing and receiving) rank 10th all-time in the league.

2. Otto Graham

Early on in the history of the game, there was no better quarterback than Otto Graham. He won seven championships in the All-American Football Conference and the National Football League during his 10-year career. When other teams were still relying on running the ball, Graham directed a passing game that was groundbreaking for the era.

3. Ozzie Newsome

Newsome was a devastating offensive weapon who, at the time of his retirement, was the best tight end in NFL history (and remains so today).

From 1978 to 1990, Newsome played for the Cleveland Browns, amassing 7,980 receiving yards and 47 receiving touchdowns. This is a great season for a wide receiver and a great season even more so for the tight end.

4. Paul Warfield

Paul Warfield is widely considered to be one of the finest wide receivers in Brown’s history. Although he was a running back in college, he was a standout wide receiver in the NFL. With 52 receptions, 920 yards, and nine touchdowns, Warfield quickly became an integral part of the club.

5. Otto Graham

Graham threw for 23,584 yards and 174 touchdowns throughout his NFL career. He played in five Pro Bowls and seven times on the first team of the All-Pro. In 1965, he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
