Haidar Abdul-Razzaq Hassan was a former Iraqi football player who played with the Sulaymaniya FC and the Iraq national Football team. Abdul-Razzaq is a gifted defensive defender who can play everywhere on the field. He was born on June 9, 1982, and has passed away today, June 5 2022 at the age of 40.
It has been reported that he died as a result of injuries he sustained during an attack by unidentified persons in Baghdad.
Abdul -Razzaq began his playing career with the Talaba youth squad in 1995, after which he switched to defense after playing goalkeeper for the Al-Shurta youth team. He was one of five players called up to the Talaba first team by coach Nazar Ashraf in 1996. He was later called up to the Iraqi Under-17s by Adnan Hamad two years later.
While Iraq was coached by Croatian Rudolf Belin, he made three more appearances in the 2002 World Cup qualifiers against Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Iran. He joined for Al-Ansar in Lebanon in 2022, but once the conflict ended, he returned to Talaba and established his place on the right side of the defense for the Olympic squad.
