Alan Ladd Jr. was an American film industry executive and producer. He was the son of actor Alan Ladd and Ladd’s first wife Marjorie Jane, whom Ladd had met in high school.
Alan Ladd Jr’s. career as an agent, independent, and studio head started in 1963 when he filled in as a movie headhunter at Creative Management Associates for any semblance of Judy Garland, Warren Beatty, and Robert Redford.
Inside five years, his enthusiasm for the business took a distinctly more autonomous course as Ladd started to function as a maker on a wide scope of movies highlighting a portion of the time’s most regarded stars including Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Ava Gardner, Ben Kingsley, Michael Caine, Anthony Hopkins, and Marlon Brando.
With these noteworthy coordinated efforts added to his repertoire, in 1973 he became Head of Creative Affairs at Twentieth Century Fox and inside three years as President of the studio.
