Former American professional football player, Rayfield Wright has passed on. The former National Football League(NFL) player died at the age of 76 on April 7, 2022. His wife announced his death but as of now, what caused his death has not been revealed.
He was born on August 23, 1945, in Griffin, Georgia in the United States of America. During his time in the National Football League(NFL), he played the position of an offensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys football team from 1967 to 1979.
He played in 13 football seasons whiles with the Cowboys. He retired from playing in 1980 after he played a little for the Philadelphia Eagle’s football team.
Rayfield lived almost all his life in Georgia where he was born. In 1988, he was inaugurated into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame and in 1990, he became a member of the NFL All-Time Super Bowl Team. He was also awarded the NFL Legends Award that same year.
He is the founder of the Rayfield Wright Foundation, an NGO whose objective is to assist children to attain scholarships and grants for college.
