Braun Strowman is an American professional wrestler and former strongman, currently known under the epithet The Titan. He is best known for his time in WWE, where he performed under the ring name Braun Strowman.
His parents, Sara and Rick “Crusher” Scherr welcomed Adam into the world on September 6, 1983, at their North Carolina home in Sherrills Ford just outside of Charlotte.
As a member of the USSSA Hall of Fame, his father is widely considered as one of the greatest slow-pitch softball players of all time, with 101 home runs, 166 hits, and 166 RBIs to his name (202).
Scherr has a younger sister, Hannah, who is also his best friend. He spent a lot of time in Arkansas and Tennessee as he got older. He participated in football, track & field, and wrestling while a student at Bandys High School.
He experienced a rapid growth spurt in high school, going from a freshman height of 5’8″ (1.73 m) to a senior height of 6’5″ (1.96 m). The following year, he graduated from high school and went to a community college, where he studied for two years.
He played football for the Hickory Hornets for the next four years, working as a doorman and a mechanic in order to make ends meet.
However, he never made it into the NFL after attending the Scouting Combine in 2007. He began competing in amateur strongman contests in the late 2000s.
