Rachel Maddow is a 49-year-old American television news program host and liberal political commentator. Maddow co-hosts The Rachel Maddow Show, a nightly television show on MSNBC, and also serves as the cable network’s special event co-anchor with Brian Williams.
From 2005 to 2010, her syndicated discussion radio show of the same name ran on Air America Radio. Maddow has garnered many Emmy Awards for her broadcasting career, as well as a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album for her book Blowout in 2021. (2019).
She earned a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in political science from Oxford University. Maddow is the first openly lesbian anchor to headline a major prime-time news program in the United States.
