Vanessa Jane Feltz is an English journalist, broadcaster, and television personality. She has appeared on numerous TV programs, including Strictly Come Dancing, Celebrity Big Brother, The Wright Stuff, The Big Breakfast, Vanessa, and The Vanessa Show.
Since she announced her retirement from her two BBC radio programs after more than 20 years, Vanessa Feltz has been making headlines.
Both the early morning breakfast program she hosts on BBC Radio 2 and the morning show she hosts on BBC Radio London will come to an end.
Feltz said she had, “loved every moment,” adding that she will miss her listeners and coworkers. She did, however, add that she had to resign in order to “make up on a much-needed decade’s deficit of beauty sleep.”
Feltz has aired shows on BBC Radio London and Radio 2 since 2001 and since 2011, respectively. The 60-year-old will conduct her last early-morning program on BBC Radio 2 on Friday.
After a two-week holiday, she will appear on Jeremy Vine’s show for one week starting on August 15. After wrapping up her coverage of Vine on August 26, she will depart BBC Radio 2 and conduct her final BBC Radio London show.
In comparison to Fetlz’s Radio 2 broadcast, which includes music, her BBC Radio London show is speech-based and includes news items and listener calls.
Feltz earns more than £400,000 a year for hosting her two daily radio shows, making her one of the highest-paid radio presenters at the BBC.
She will be succeeded, although it has not yet been revealed who will do so. According to the BBC, schedule announcements will come later.
From 1983 to 2000, Vanessa was married to Michael Kurer; the couple had two adult daughters, Allegra and Saskia. She later got engaged to musician Ben Ofoedu in December 2006 after they divorced.
Ben Ofoedu is a musician who is Vanessa Feltz’s partner. Ben allegedly proposed to the presenter in Ireland, and they became engaged in 2006.
Following the announcement of their engagement, Vanessa spoke to the Daily Express about this wonderful time and expressed her “just so excited.”
