Jeffrey Scott Springs, an American professional baseball pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball, was born in Belmont, North Carolina (MLB). He formerly played for the Texas Rangers and the Boston Red Sox in Major League Baseball.

Springs went to high school in Belmont, North Carolina, at South Point High School. To earn a degree in management, he attended Appalachian State University and played college baseball for the Mountaineers from 2012 to 2015.

The Texas Rangers selected Springs in the 30th round of the 2015 MLB Draft, and he signed a one-year, $1,000 contract with them.

Springs divided his first season between the Spokane Indians and the Hickory Crawdads after signing. In 31 innings, he had a combined 2–2 record with a 2.61 ERA.
