Jeremy Hunt is a British politician serving as Chancellor of the Exchequer since 14 October 2022.
He previously served in the Cabinet as Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport from 2010 to 2012, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care from 2012 to 2018, and Foreign Secretary from 2018 to 2019.
Jeremy Hunt started off his professional life working at OC&C Strategy Consultants as a management consultant. After that, he moved to Japan in order to pursue a career as an English instructor there. After getting back, he gave a number of different types of enterprises a shot.
Profile PR was the name of the public relations firm that he co-founded in 1991 with his longtime buddy Mike Elms. After that, the two individuals went on to pursue careers in publishing and, in 1996, they founded an educational guidance organization known as Hotcourses Ltd.
In the general election that took place in 2005, he was the candidate of choice to represent the South West Surrey constituency.
He was given the position of Shadow Minister for Disabled People after lending his support to David Cameron’s campaign for the leadership of the Conservative Party.
