Jeter Downs is a Colombian-American professional baseball shortstop for the Boston Red Sox. Downs is named after Hall of Fame shortstop Derek Jeter. His brother, Jerry Jr., is also a professional baseball player.
Prior to joining the Boston Red Sox, Downs played for the Cincinnati Reds. The Cincinnati Reds chose Downs with the 32nd overall selection of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft.
